PWOC International Leadership Development is W.I.L.D.!
(Women Intent on Leadership Development)

The goal of W.I.L.D. is to encourage and equip PWOC leaders by providing effective and relevant training in general spiritual leadership principles and practical board position training. Training and resources are available through a variety of formats and settings.

Below is a brief description of the various training opportunities available throughout PWOC International. While much of the training is developed by PWOCI and will look the same throughout the ministry, some training opportunities are offered by local or regional leadership and may look different between locations.

W.I.L.D. Weekends

W.I.L.D. Weekends are the foundation of leadership training within PWOCI. These dynamic training weekends are held in each of the 8 Regions between May and July and are open to those serving in the five selected local board positions (President, 1st VP Spiritual Life, 2nd VP Programs, Admin Coordinator, and Financial Liaison). The curriculum varies from year to year based on the God-revealed needs of the PWOCI body, but will always include topics relevant to general spiritual leadership training and practical board position training. The weekends also provide a great opportunity for networking among leaders in the Regions.

W.I.L.D. Online Training

Ongoing leadership training is available through a variety of online or technology-based formats. A new training topic relevant to leadership development is released monthly (September-May). These training topics may be presented via: conference call; audio and/or video recording; web-based training; written article and/or resource; Facebook Group discussions; etc.

Conferences

Each year, PWOC hosts a conference, either regional or international. A wide variety of workshops are offered at these conferences, including W.I.L.D. Workshops which will cover topics relevant to leadership development.

PWOC International maintains a searchable Resource Library which contains a number of leadership and board position resources. New resources are added as they become available.

Local Board Retreat

While not necessarily a training event, local board retreats are an opportunity for new local board members to develop relationships and to plan ministry objectives for the upcoming year. If you are an incoming local board member, please see your incoming president for details.
