Sally Clarkson, Keynote Speaker
Sally Clarkson is a popular speaker, known across the nation and internationally for her work with women. She is the author of several books including The Mission of Motherhood published in seven foreign languages including Mandarin Chinese, The Ministry of Motherhood, Seasons of a Mother's Heart, and her most recent book, Dancing with My Father. She has worked in various ministries for more than thirty years including Campus Crusade for Christ and has spoken at a variety of national and international venues from the United States Senate to mainland China. She's also ministered at the University of Texas, lived and ministered in Eastern Europe under Communist rule, and returned to Denver to work with executive women and singles. Sally and her husband, Clay, are the cofounders of Whole Heart Ministries, an outreach that encourages and equips Christian parents.In addition to writing and speaking, Sally leads numerous discipleship groups and is a successful blogger (itakejoy.com). Like many military families to whom she's spoken, Sally and her family have moved twelve times in the last twenty years. The Clarkson's live with their four children near Colorado Springs, Colorado. Just the fact the God chooses to allow us to be a part of what He's doing amazes me daily! I think deep down I knew I would be speaking and singing one day, and now that era of my life has begun. I am speachless inside, even as the words flow from my mouth...The overflow of greatfulness for who He continually shows Himself to be and how He tenderly molds us for His purposes. One of my worst fears in speaking is being seen...becoming the facade, loud gong, dirty stained glass, or any sort of distraction from the One who longs to speak straight to our hearts. He deserves not only our attention, but all that we have to give and more. I feel honored to have the vast range of opportunities to serve through speaking, singing, and acting, but even more, I am thrilled by how God takes my times of study and prayerful preperation to change, cleanse, and grow me! I am blessed beyong measure with every opportunity I have to point others to Him. I genuinely love the people I get to interact with, therefore, moving on from one engagement to the next is one of the hardest things for me to do. Heaven is gonna' be great! My greatest desire is to know Christ more, and I want this God-motivated and God-given seed of passion to be something used by God through me to penetrate the masked emptiness and loneliness of the world surrounding me...Christian and non-Christian alike. No one can be fully complete or reach the highest potential without giving God the reigns so he can work in and through them. I long for America and the rest of the world to get back into God's letter of love to us.
